Cone Beam CT & Augmented Fluroscopy Guided Lung Biopsy
What is fluoroscopy? Think of it as a live, continuous X-ray used to guide doctors to place instruments during a medical surgery or procedure.
For lung biopsy: it guides the placement of the biopsy tool.

Flat 2D (No Depth)
Conventional Fluoroscopy only shows width and height with zero depth. Doctors cannot easily tell how deep inside the lung the nodule / mass truly is.

Faint & Blurry Views
Standard fluoroscopy gives poor detail for soft lung tissue. Smaller, subtle spots appear faint or washed out, making the target hard to see clearly.
Misleading "Target Hit"
On a flat screen, the tool might look like a direct hit. But in real 3D space, it may actually be passing completely in front of or behind the nodule / mass.
Cone-Beam CT (CBCT)
Intraoperative 3D Clarity
Rotational C-arm CT provides high-resolution volumetric scans right on the procedure table, updating anatomy in real time.
Diagnostic bronchoscopy and bronchoalveolar lavage
Confirms exact location of the biopsy device placement in all 3 planes
Boosts diagnostic confidence for lesions of all sizes

Resolves CT-to-body divergence caused by breathing motion
Confirms exact location of the biopsy device placement in all 3 planes
Boosts diagnostic confidence for lesions of all sizes
Augmented Fluoroscopy
Live Target-Overlay Guidance
Like a car’s GPS overlay or gaming heads-up display, it paints a digital target and navigation roadmap right over the live X-ray screen to help in the biopsy procedure.
Highlights the nodule / mass clearly on screen.
Moves in sync with breathing so the target is never lost.
Increase the accuracy of procedures.
